Button Meets The Beast

Howard Button, chief executive officer of the National Federation of Demolition Contractors, recently took time out of his busy schedule to call in on associate member, Kocurek Excavators and to see firs- hand their latest development in the high reach excavator field.

Nicknamed The Beast, the new machine marks a departure from the recent trend of ever-higher reach and has been designed instead to carry some incredibly large attachments. Based on a Hitachi EX1200, the 200 tonne machine is capable of taking a 25 tonne shear to a 28 metre working height. Even at full 38 metre working height, the machine still packs an impressive seven tonne tool.
