CEO Concern Over NEC3 Contract

Dear Member,

I wish to bring to your attention my concerns about a presentation given by Clive Marshall of Driver construction cunsultancy at the IDE Seminar at One Great George Street in London on Friday 24 September concerning the NEC3 contract.

The terms and conditions of this contract appear to be particularly biased towards the client and very onerous to you as contractors. I strongly urge you all that if this contract is being requested read it through carefully before you sign.

Clive Marhsall has agreed to produce an article outlining the potential pitfalls of this contract for the Winter 2010 edition of Demolition & Dismantling but, until then, be on your guard.
