BRE Offers Fire Risk Training

Fire remains the most serious safety risk with approximately 60 commercial and public property fires in the UK every day.  Construction sites are a significant contributor at 11 every day.  BRE Training have introduced a new course, ‘Fire safety for managers and supervisors on construction sites’ to explain how the law and practical fire safety precautions come together for the management of fire risks on construction sites.

700 people suffer serious burns on UK construction sites each year.  There is a risk of fire in any place where construction work is being carried out including areas which are designated as demolition sites.  Good fire management of all construction areas is essential through the enforcement of fire safety precautions.

Intended for all those who have the responsibility of managing construction, the course will explain how the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 and the Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres regulations 2002 come together for the management of fire risks on construction sites.
