Foam Insulation Survey
Defra has commissioned a survey being undertaken by BRE and supported by the NFDC to find out about the segregation of building insulation foams containing Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS) on demolition sites. As a member of the NFDC you have the opportunity to take part in this survey as assistance from the demolition sector is needed to gain a better understanding of current practices for handling insulation foams and their ‘end of life’ options. Whilst your involvement is voluntary the information you will provide will be invaluable in ensuring that any future legislation takes into account your experiences and knowledge of handling and segregating ODS foams and the practicalities of doing so.
