Gypsum update
In preparation for the change in legislation controlling the disposal of plasterboard and gypsum products, the Environment Agency has issued the attached note.
Members are advised that, although this details a slight change in the date of implementation, landfill operators are still gearing up for a 1 January 2009 implementation. Members are, therefore, advised to consult their local landfill operator before sending mixedloads.
