Joe & Ann O'Connell Fund

Members will be aware of the recent tragic death of NFDC member Joe O’Connell and his wife Anne.

Joe (50) and Anne (44) died in a car crash at the start of a family holiday in Iowa, USA. Their children Sarah (15), Colman (13) and Maeve (10) survived the crash but are now sadly orphaned.

I am asking all NFDC Members to pledge their support in raising funds for the Trust fund which will be set up for the 3 orphaned children. We have had a very generous response from the NW Region of the NFDC, which Joe was a member and hope that nationally further funds can be raised. We have also asked local businesses and industry suppliers to support the fund raising effort.

I have spoken to Joe’s brother William who is currently setting up a Trust Fund for the 3 Children.

William assures me that all proceeds raised will go directly to the Children’s Trust Fund.

Until the Trust Fund is set – up no payments can be made but we would like you to pledge your donation now and as soon as the trust is set up we will collect payment.
