Why Don't Americans Use High Reach

When NFDC president David Darsey returned from the US' National Demolition Association's annual convetnion earlier this year, he stated that US contractors still had much to learn about recycling and reuse of materials. Judging by the debate that is raging on www.demolitionnews.com, they still have a bit of catching up to do in the equipment stakes too.
The basis for the debate was a simple question: why don't American contractors GET the high reach concept.
Since then, the debate has continued in the comments section of the story and has now gone Stateside, being picked up by the world's largest plant magazine, Construction Equipment, www.demolitionforum.com AND by the online Heavy Equipment Forum.
