Wood Collection Service

The National Federation of Demolition Contractors has been approached by Melanie Hickford at the National Community Wood Recycling Project (NCWRP), a network of wood recycling social enterprises that is partly funded by WRAP.   Here are the details of that communication, together with a brochure on the NCWRP.

I am writing to introduce myself and the National Community Wood Recycling Project.

Having read about the UKCG's commitment to WRAP's Halving Waste to Landfill, we thought there may be some synergy between us and your membership.

We are a national network of community wood recycling social enterprises, partly funded by WRAP.

We provide a centralised service to major contractors, collecting waste timber from sites, with an aim to re-use and recycle 100% of the material through our network of wood re-use and recycling outlets.

We provide a prompt and professional service via our environmental outlets which also provide voluntary work and training opportunities for vulnerable and marginalised people who are finding routes back into work.

We assist with environmental reporting and CSR measurement by providing regular summaries of re-use and recycling, showing amounts saved from landfill, plus the social outcomes of your collected waste.

Please find our brochure attached which gives further information on the service. If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me.
